about
"'Ned' or 'Newly Evolving Development', is a culmination of musical influence from each member of the band; each adding their own unique flavour to the idea of the song. NED is a journey into the mind of a man that has an undying passion for Jurassic Park and how he wanted everyone to be able to see, hear, and feel the magnitude of emotion that he felt when he first saw the film and even more so when he saw it in 3D 20 years later.
'Ned' also ventures the journey that we take when we are trying to experience different aspects of the human condition in the same way and how we try so hard to find things that others can relate to to elicit that same emotional response that we feel. Hoping, waiting, and wanting those you hold the most dear, to be able to see life through your eyes. It doesn't always work and regardless of the outcome at least you were there to experience the love and life that another being can offer you.
Seriously though, I would Have Dean Maher's babies. He is totes my man crush."
-Travis Dean, Princess Kenny
Princess Kenny is a wicked cool mix of various ideas on what rock music is supposed to be. When they released their debut Album Puppy Kisses in 1987, it skyrocketed them to success. The lead singer at the time "Lucius Blackworth", was kicked out of the band in '96 due to his addiction to Himalayan Bath Salts, Travis Dean took over on vocals and guitar, and the sound that spawned is the sound you hear today. Once you listen to a PK track, it will echo in every aspect of your emotion and soul for eternity. Sparkle Sunshine.
lyrics
Do you remember, the times we don’t dare
Those heartfelt memories of stories we won’t share
It seems like yesterday, the morning sun it fades
Into a washed out dream where I can count the days
Chorus 1
And where we wanna go
Where I can see the show
I’d like some of your time
So I can open up your mind
Verse 2
We wandered, just as long as anyone ever should
We walked along the streets just as long as we could
Fireworks and unicorns, I wouldn’t trade for anything
I’ll be waiting, listening, till you sing
Chorus 2
And where we wanna go
Where I can see the show
I’d like some of your time
So I can open up your mind
Bridge
Chorus 3
And where we wanna go
Where I can see the show
I’d like some of your time
So I can open up your mind
